Ramadan is not just a month that arrives on the calendar — it's an opportunity that rewards preparation. The companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) would begin preparing for Ramadan months in advance. Here's how you can make the most of this blessed month.

Spiritual Preparation

**Increase Your Quran Reading Now** Don't wait for Ramadan to pick up the Quran. Start building your reading stamina now so that you can engage more deeply during the blessed month.

**Review Your Salah Quality** Use the weeks before Ramadan to improve your focus in prayer. Practice praying without rushing, understanding what you recite, and being present.

**Make a Dua List** Write down your sincere duas before Ramadan begins. Having a prepared list means you won't waste precious moments of acceptance trying to think of what to ask for.

Physical Preparation

**Adjust Your Sleep Schedule Gradually** Start waking up earlier to prepare for suhoor. A gradual adjustment is easier than a sudden change.

**Begin Voluntary Fasting** Fast Mondays and Thursdays, or the white days (13th, 14th, 15th of each Islamic month) to prepare your body for the transition.

**Plan Your Meals** Simple, nutritious meals during Ramadan are better than elaborate iftars that leave you too full to pray Tarawih.

Social Preparation

**Plan Your Charitable Giving** Decide on your zakat and sadaqah strategy before Ramadan. Research organizations and causes that align with your values.

**Community Engagement** Connect with your local masjid about Ramadan programs. In Malaysia, we're blessed with vibrant Ramadan communities — make the most of them.

May Allah allow us all to reach Ramadan and benefit fully from its blessings.
